Vintage Persian Ghashghai Jajim Kilim Rug. SOLD
One of the most over looked weaving's unfortunately have been the warp and weft faced plain stripes that were woven in long strips and then cut into equal portions and sewn together that are referred to as Jajims. Multi-purpose articles, they were often quilted and used as Korsi covers, used as blankets, horse covers, and other purposes. Antique Jajim's are being picked apart by rug restorers for their wool, becoming more and more scarce. 3'3"x 9'11"
