Becoming more and more rare, this specimen has managed to remain intact despite it's age and construction (flat-weave).  Dating from the 1880's, this Northwest Persian Shahsavan Kilim does have 6 to 8 battle scars (old home made repairs) that is typical for a textile of this nature.  Measuring 10'2"x 5'3", this piece of art would make a striking wall hanging!
